About Me

Hello! I’m Ingrid, a freelance copywriter (and a non-smoker!).

Looking for interesting people and inspiring stories around the world is one of my greatest joys — it combines two of my biggest passions: writing and travelling.

If possible, I travel with my sweet pets: Mr Grey, my blind cat, and Tessa, my friendly dog. They’re both well-behaved and get along beautifully with other animals. House and pet sitting allows us to explore new places together, while giving love and care to animals along the way.

Because Mr Grey is blind, he doesn’t need a lot of space;  I can easily keep him in one room if that makes you feel more comfortable. His favourite hobbies are sleeping and eating anyway!

Pet sitting for free
I’ll look after — and love — your pets as if they were my own.

It’s a win-win: I pet sit for free in your home! This not only saves you money but also allows your beloved pet to stay safe and happy in their familiar surroundings.

Pet sit experience
I have lots of experience with animals: dogs, cats, bunnies, and birds in Europe, Canada, and the US. I’ve been a pet owner since I was very young, and animals have always played an important role in my life.

In November 2016, I began my house and pet sitting adventure, and I absolutely love it. You can follow some of my journeys at www.instagram.com/travelingpetlover. I have some experience as a veterinary assistant in the Netherlands, and I’ve cared for animals with special needs.

My beloved cat Elmo was terminally ill, and I gave him medication for several years. These days, I care for Mr Grey, my sweet blind cat. He lost his sight in both eyes and requires several types of eye drops throughout the day. He’s also diabetic, so I give him insulin twice daily. This kind of care has become an integral part of our daily rhythm. I’m comfortable with routines that require precision, patience, and presence. Especially when it comes to animals who need a little extra love and support.
