Nature doesn’t need people; people need nature!
‘What do you tell people you do? Do you start with your mission or your vehicles?’ This question triggered me to think about my mission. I would love to hear yours!
As a young girl - I was 12 at the time - I was at a Greenpeace meeting, where I saw a video of the killing of whales, and I was so upset... So I decided to become a member of Greenpeace. I went door to door with petitions against the whale hunting and the killing of young seals for their fur. And now at the age of 57, I still cry when I see those images on TV or the Internet. So my mission as a journalist/content writer is to make people aware of what's going on in the world, like the killing of the whales but also climate change. I try to do it in a positive way; I try to inspire people with my writing. I write a lot about sustainability and green buildings. And I want to show people how we can grow trees, green our cities, rewild our gardens, change our diets, clean up rivers and coasts because we are the generation that can make peace with nature. Nature doesn’t need people; people need nature!
